Help us launch our new community garden in partnership with Bethlehem Lutheran Church. We will be setting up the basic infrastructure of the garden together today- putting together the fence, some garden boxes, storage, hoses and adding soil and mulch for paths.
Come dressed to work outdoors- tasks available for all levels of physical ability and interest.
All of the vegetables grown in the garden will benefit Cook for VETS- a local nonprofit that provides FREE meals to veterans in need- founder LJ Raspler will join us at the groundbreaking to help us and share her thoughts on our valuable work to feed our hungry neighbors.
In May, we will begin planting- so come back to join us again on May 18!
This project will take place in the field adjacent to the back parking lot of Bethlehem Lutheran Church located at 8922 Little River Turnpike Fairfax VA 22031
